Meet Jennifer
Rooted in this Community. Focused on what comes next.
This is where we built our life, and where I’m proud to serve.
Rooted in community
At home on our family farm north of Paris.
Nineteen years ago, I married my husband, joined his family farm, and moved to Brant, not knowing exactly what to expect.
What I found was a community that welcomed me from day one.
From Glen Morris to St. George, from Paris to Burford, and across the rural crossroads in between, this is where we built our life and where we’re raising our family.
Over time, that sense of belonging grew into a deeper commitment to serve and help shape what comes next.
A life of service
Like many people in this community, I wear a lot of hats.
Mom. Wife. Farmer. Councillor. Volunteer. Advocate. Coach.
Through every role, there has been one constant: showing up and serving the people around me.
Experience that matters
As a County Councillor, I’ve worked through the realities of growth, infrastructure, budgets and community needs. I’ve been part of real decisions on budgets, infrastructure and how we plan for growth.
I understand how decisions are made, and more importantly, how they impact people’s daily lives.
In my professional role with Beef Farmers of Ontario, I focus on public engagement, helping connect people to the issues that matter most to them.
Throughout my career working with member-funded organizations, I’ve been accountable to people for how their dollars are spent, an approach that carries directly into how I view municipal tax dollars.
Together, these experiences have shaped a practical, collaborative approach to leadership — grounded in listening, clear communication and long-term thinking.
Bridging perspectives
I understand both the realities of a family farm and the pressures of a growing community.
I know what it means to protect farmland while planning for the future, and how important it is to get that balance right.
The best decisions don’t come from choosing one perspective over another. They come from bringing people together and working through them.
Why I’m running
Brant is at a turning point.
We are growing, and the decisions we make today will shape this community for decades to come.
I’m ready to help guide what comes next with clarity, with care, and with a focus on bringing people together.
Looking ahead
My goal is simple: to help build a stronger Brant. A Brant that respects our roots, plans for the future and brings people together.
This community isn’t just where I live. It’s home. And it’s worth getting right.
